Espada by Montecristo Signature

En garde! A limited-edition collaboration between Nodal and Plasencia. 

Once again, Rafael Nodal, the Grupo de Maestros, and Nestor Plasencia have collaborated on a premium handmade that is a balancing of tasting notes. After the success of earlier Espada blends from Montecristo, the Plasencia family has continued to allow Nodal into their tobacco library to find rare components for the next edition. This project initially started in 2014 to highlight vintage premium leaves and showcase Nicaragua’s growing regions.

The Espada by Montecristo Signature is so limited, that only 10,000 boxes of 10 were produced. This premium cigar is a Nicaraguan puro that showcases the variety of tasting notes and characteristics of the tobaccos used in this release. The binder and fillers are from Estelí while the reddish-brown wrapper hails from the Jalapa region. With this cigar being rolled in Plasencia’s factory in Nicaragua, each handmade offers great construction and captures tasting notes that can be described as spicy, earthy, woody while maintaining a medium profile.
