Romeo y Julieta Aniversario was crafted to cap off Romeo y Julieta’s 130 years in the cigar business. And that ain’t nothin’ to shake a stick at, that’s a hell of a long time. So when it came time to create the Aniversario, they made sure all their ducks were in a row. It all starts with an extensively fermented Ecuador Sumatra wrapper. This super-smooth leaf houses a long-filler core of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Peruvian tobaccos before being hugged by a Connecticut Broadleaf binder. This complex array of tobaccos dishes out a similarly complex flavor profile. Slightly spicy and fairly assertive, the strength remains medium-bodied as hints of roasted nuts, cedar, leather, and a touch of earth are presented within a toasty foundation.
