My Father Fonseca

A multi-family treasure.

For 45 years, Quesada owned the Fonseca Cigar line. Before that, the brand was established in 1892 in Cuba by Francisco E. Fonseca, an innovator in the cigar industry. Francisco is credited with having the idea to wrap cigars in both a tin foil tube as well as a Japanese style paper, both designed to protect cigars from damage. This heritage brand has been on the US market at least 40 years and has once again received a new owner. One of the most well-known and successful companies in the cigar industry, My Father Cigars, has lovingly taken Fonseca into it's already expansive portfolio and fully reworked the line.

With such a history behind the brand line, My Father Cigars wanted keep an air of mystery shrouding their newest treasure, only disclosing the wrapper leaf used in the blend by name with the rest of the blend only noted as being comprised of all Nicaraguan tobacco. Draped impeccably around that beautiful Nicaraguan blend lies a delicious shade grown corojo '99 Rosado wrapper. The medium to full bodied blend provides a flavor profile filled with a milder use of My Father's signature pepper combined delicately with notes of wood, earth, and cream that dance across you palate from first light to last draw. You don't want to miss the chance to experience this remarkable piece of history. Act fast and secure a box, or two, of these today.

Fonseca by My Father has been named one of the Top 25 Cigars of 2020, earning a 93-point rating. The review stated: "...shows a dense smoke of gingerbread and toast balanced by a piquant hint of ground red pepper—a spicy Garcia signature that lets you know Fonseca now belongs to them."
