Resilience doesn’t have to cost beauty.
Robert Holt gets a lot of praise for the Southern Draw cigar brand, but he would be the first to tell you that he attributes most of his success to his wife, Sharon. The pair have withstood countless challenges in the process of creating a name for themselves, but they’ve stayed resilient and never forgot their vision, “unity, charity, and service”. The Southern Draw Rose of Sharon is Sharon Holt’s cigar, Robert’s acknowledgement of the integral hand she played in getting them where they are. The newest extension of the Rose of Sharon, the Desert Rose, commemorates all of the challenges they faced along the way.
Produced in Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez, the Desert Rose wears an Ecuador Claro wrapper that’s heartier and a bit more robust than the original, while retaining a silky smooth profile. The wrapper works in perfect harmony with the Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Dominican and Honduras, and produce medium bodied notes of spice, cedar, and cream. It comes in just one 5.5” x 52 box-pressed belicoso fino size, and is limited to 75,000 sticks being produced this year. Everyone has had to overcome struggles to get where they are today, commemorate that spirit of resilience with a box of Desert Rose.
